Andreas P. Pahl

Andreas P. Pahl, MPA, CAS, MBA, SPHR, CVPM, SHRM-SCP, has more than 25 years of combined veterinary and human health care administration experience. He works as a Veterinary Management Consultant at Burzenski & Company with an emphasis on practice organization, information technology, administration, budgeting, finance, data analysis, planning, purchasing and human resources. Andreas was formerly the Hospital Administrator for a large NY based general practice & emergency hospital. Additionally, his background also includes managing another veterinary hospital, and extensive experience both in human hospital administration and various emergency medical services positions. He is also a Management Instructor for Patterson Veterinary University’s Practice Management Series, and really enjoys helping other managers to work through their operational challenges, as well help them to advance their careers. 

Andreas earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. He also earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Health Administration with a concentration in Gerontology, and a Master’s in Business Administration with a Finance concentration. He earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification credential and achieved Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) certification. He added the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation in 2015.

His passion for excellence in client care and operational efficiency has inspired him to share his years of hard-learned lessons with others in the veterinary community. National publications such as AAHA Trends Magazine and DVM360 have featured his insight and perspective. As an active member of the VHMA, Andreas has served on the Program Committee, and currently has been serving on the CVPM Board since 2013.
