COVID-19 News Brief from Burzenski & Company, PC
As with many of you, we are adapting to the current health concerns and disruptions that COVID-19 is causing. These are extremely difficult times for all and despite the uncertainty of what the near future holds, our goal is to continue the high-quality service you're accustomed to while implementing safe practices to protect both you and our team of employees. Accordingly, we will continue to provide all of our regular services while implementing the following temporary policies:
We are canceling all in-house appointments until we are confident that safety is no longer a concern. We will substitute person-to-person communication with video and/or teleconferencing as needed.
We ask that all documentation be delivered to us through our client portal, e-mail, or via fax. If none of those options are feasible, please send documents through the mail or by Fed-Ex.
Our staff will be working remotely in shifts but will continue to be available to you for any support or assistance you may need. During this period the best way to contact our staff is through e-mail. However, if there is an urgent matter, we will have associates at the office who can assist you during our normal business hours.
Please note that these policy changes are temporary, and we hope that you understand our decisions to be responsible, proactive partners in protecting our communities. We will continue to monitor appropriate communications and address any major interference to our business that may affect you. We are aware that some states have already extended certain tax filing dates and we expect the IRS will also address upcoming tax deadlines. We will inform you of any relevant tax filing and payment deadline extensions. We understand that many of you rely on us for many services beyond filing tax returns and we foresee no significant interruptions with providing these non-tax services.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the partner or accountant in charge of your account.
We wish you all the best during this unprecedented and challenging time. Be safe!
