John R. Burzenski
John R. Burzenski, CPA, PFS, founded Burzenski & Company, P.C. in 1983. He is the firm’s president and heads the audit, accounting and wealth management divisions. With extensive experience in tax, audit and financial consulting, he focuses on business as well as individual clients. His passion for financial planning provides him with an acute sensitivity to the personal needs and wishes of his clients. As your life changes, he’ll continually review your financial situation to make sure it aligns with your needs for today, tomorrow and the future.
He is certified as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS)*. He holds securities licensure in Series 7, 24 and 66 as well as life, health and long-term care insurance and annuities.
A graduate of Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, he is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He served on the Board of Governors and various committees of the CSCPA. He has conducted seminars for the CSCPA, and been a speaker for both the CSCPA and the Connecticut Association of Public Accountants.
Named a top rated discussion leader by the CSCPA, Mr. Burzenski has written various articles and co-authored the Reference Book for Bankers and Other Credit Grantors on Financial Statements. He is the recipient of the CSCPA Distinguished Author Award.
A member of the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Inc., Mr. Burzenski is a past treasurer and board member of the United Way of Greater New Haven, Inc. and the Finance Committee of the Easter Seals/Goodwill Rehabilitation Center.
